THE BLUEHOLE STORY
MORE THAN A RESTAURANT
From premium beef raised on the family's station to fresh mangoes grown on the property and featured throughout the menu, every dish reflects the quality, authenticity and flavours of the Northern Territory.
At BlueHole, we're proud to celebrate not only the family's story, but the entire Northern Territory cattle industry. We believe great food begins long before it reaches the kitchen, it starts with hardworking families, quality produce and a deep respect for the land.
Whether you're joining us for lunch, dinner, live music or a special celebration, you'll experience genuine Territory hospitality in a space that honours the people, produce and traditions that make the Northern Territory unlike anywhere else.
Welcome to BlueHole Steakhouse & Bar, where every meal tells a Territory story, and every steak has one to tell.
BlueHole Steakhouse & Bar is more than a restaurant, it's a celebration of the Northern Territory cattle industry, built on generations of experience, family values and a passion for sharing the very best of the Territory.
For more than 40 years, the owners have been deeply involved in the Northern Territory cattle industry, raising premium cattle on their family station near Katherine. Their passion for quality extends beyond the station through BlueHole Prime Cuts, the family's butcher shop in Katherine, where they've built a reputation for supplying premium Territory beef to the local community.
BlueHole Steakhouse & Bar is the next chapter of that journey.
Inspired by a genuine pivot to plate philosophy, the restaurant showcases the journey of locally produced ingredients from the family's property to your table. Named after the iconic centre pivot irrigation systems found across the station, "pivot to plate" represents the connection between the land, the people who work it, and the exceptional produce it creates.
OUR NAME & LOGO
Every element of the BlueHole logo has been thoughtfully designed to tell the story of the family, their heritage and their connection to the Northern Territory.
Designed by the owners' son, the logo brings together the key elements that define BlueHole and the story behind it. The name BlueHole is inspired by a natural waterhole on the family's station near Katherine, known as BlueHole, a place that has been part of the family's story for generations.
The curved "pivot to plate" wording reflects the sweeping arc of the centre pivot irrigation systems found across the station, paying tribute to the innovation and hard work that support the Northern Territory cattle industry. The cattle silhouette represents the family's passion for producing premium Territory beef, while the outline of the Northern Territory celebrates the land they call home and the industry that has shaped their lives for more than 40 years.
More than just a logo, it represents the family's journey, their deep connection to the land and their commitment to sharing the very best of the Northern Territory, from their station to your table
